Tonight beside the candle glow
Let us, as one, unite
In fond remembrance of the friends
That vanished from our sight.

Remembering, is oh, so sweet
It lends a mellowed touch
And cherished thoughts are with us now
Of those who mean so much.

Tho' rolling waves may wash away
The sands from every shore --
Tho' bells will chime away the time
'Til they are heard no more --

Tho' stars may burn away their gleam
'Til every star is gone,
One precious thought, with us remains
A memory lives on!

For memories are forever
We cannot measure, nor erase
And memories can carry one
Beyond the realm of time and space.

No worldly force can reach us
As time unfolds the years
The door is closed on "earthliness"
Our rendezvous appears.

Once more your presence touches me
Our eyes behold the view
Of paths we've walked together
We're once again with you!

There's echoes in the words you've said
Your laughter fills the halls,
We've kept the secrets you've revealed
They're bound within these walls.

We've shared your joys and sorrows,
Yes, we've traded smiles and tears
We've watched you build ambitions
As you looked to future years.

We do not know the reason why
You left and went away
We only know there's emptiness
Because you couldn't stay.

And this we know, when candles glow
Our hearts are warmed anew
Oh classmate, friend and loved one
We do remember you!
