Who Me, The Leader?

Perhaps you don't want to be it
You'd rather just follow along
But there's just no way to escape it
It's YOU who'll lead the throng.

You may be the very next chairman
Of the car wash down the street
Or in charge of a very special tea
Where the dignitaries meet!

You could be the Camp Craft Leader
Or the Senior Commandant
Or the Young People's Campaign Manager
Whether you like it or not.

Maybe you'll manage a softball team
Teach little children around you
Be that charming hostess
Who keeps smiling the long day through.

Someday bright eyes will look up to you
And reach for your hand to hold
For a mother is truly a leader
Of her very own household.

Yes, opportunities and chances
Are as numerous as bees that hum
So take a deep breath, step out and say
Look out world -- here I come!
