Come Take A Walk With Us

Dear Loved Ones,

Come take a walk with us and we'll carry you through our wonderful year of '92. You won't have to go far. It's all right here, the things that we cherish and hold most dear. No far away places, no new spots on earth, but we've kept close beside us the things of most worth.

Look in on our families. Our count has begun! Orvetta has fifty, next July fifty-one! Brad and Becky Edwards next July will be due and no we are wondering who'll make fifty-two. Two new little boys arrived this past year, a grandson, a great and so precious and dear. Taylor Tait is the name of the great grandson. November 9th Melanie had a 9 lb. 2 oz. son! And Sam has added to this from his side, fourteen more that we look on with pride.

Here's more statistics if you'd like to hear, not one of them smoke. Our air's fresh and clear. Blessings from heaven. Our hearts overflow. For we could not have said this a few years ago. 11 missionaries have served from our family. Elder Darrin Edwards the latest in Germany. Peek in on our Sundays and there you will see rows filled to the brim of our posterity. We gather together for each one's special day. Miles never matter. We get on our way. And when Sam's at the pulpit I can't help but say, "Brother Groom's so well groomed in every way."

But Sam has his problem. He's not getting much sleep and he seldom hears the words that I speak. He eats less each day and I'm nut down on my hugs 'cause Sam's got the disease called the Computer Bug! Orvetta plants gardens, she sings and she'll sew. When the grandkids play ball, away she will go! She fills all the shelves with the fruits and the jam. She'll never give up 'til NO MORE she can cram.

Now I hope you're not thinking we are boasting and proud. No, often our sunshine's been hidden by clouds. But there's no place on earth, no pomp and no glory that would nourish our souls like this simple life story. From sunrise to sunset each day's been well spent. Life has given her pleasures, her peace and content!

May life continue to be
As kind to you and kind to me
As we journey on through '93.

Sam and Orvetta
