Tonight we'd like to give to you our thanks that's most sincere
For all the hours you've given to our M I A this year.
You all have been so busy, not just with homes to run
And families to care for before each day is done -----
But office hours, hot lunch to serve and anesthetics too --
Have kept you going night and day and never getting through.
Yet, in spite of all of this as Tuesday came along
We'd find you here at M I A. We've watched you carry on.
We've watched you schedule service hours and keep the records straight
We've watched you weed the ball field 'til we thought your back would break.
We've watched you at the boat dock throwing weinies in a bun
Slicing melons, pouring punch, while we had all the fun.
We're grateful for the messages you teachers would impart
Each girl to you is special and you've touched each girls heart.
Oh, we could go on forever, we never would get through
In telling of the good things we have seen you do.
But while we have been watching, Someone else has too
And gloried that you love the youth, because He loves them too.
And for all the hours you've given He pours down on you
Hours filled with blessings, peace -- contentment too.
So while he pours his blessings down we'll give our thanks sincere
And tell you that we'll miss you in M I A next year.
